FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our Most Common Questions From Patients

Does conserving bone really matter?

Absolutely. Bone isn’t just a foundation for implants — it’s what shapes your face, your bite, and your long-term oral health. Once bone is cut away for an FP3-style reconstruction, it’s permanently gone. That means less support for your lips and cheeks, an older facial appearance, and fewer options if you ever need retreatment in the future. If additional revision surgery becomes necessary, patients who’ve lost bone may require zygomatic implants — anchoring into the facial bones — which is much more invasive than standard implant procedures. My FP1 approach is designed to preserve as much of your natural bone and teeth as possible, so your smile not only looks natural today, but also holds up for decades — often avoiding complex, high-risk procedures down the road.

Will my smile look and feel natural, or like dentures?

Yes — your implant reconstruction can feel like a denture if the wrong approach is chosen. Many full-mouth implant treatments (FP3) create bulky, gum-supported prosthetics that slip, click, and feel unnatural. With my FP1 approach, your new teeth are fixed, stable, and fully integrated with your bone. The gum tissue is carefully sculpted to work with your new teeth, ensuring a seamless, natural appearance. This allows you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. By preserving your natural teeth and bone whenever possible, your face maintains its natural shape, giving you a youthful, authentic smile that lasts for decades.

Do I really need to have all my teeth pulled?

Not necessarily. Many dentists automatically recommend extracting all teeth for a full-mouth implant, but with my conservative FP1 approach, each tooth is carefully evaluated. Whenever possible, healthy or salvageable teeth are preserved, providing a stronger foundation, maintaining bone, and supporting your facial structure. Saving teeth isn’t just about avoiding extractions — it also means fewer complications, less invasive surgery, and a more natural, long-lasting smile. Some so-called “implant centers” cannot offer you the option to save your teeth because their business model depends on extracting teeth and placing full-arch implants. This creates a conflict of interest, which is why it’s important to have a provider who evaluates every tooth independently, putting your long-term oral health first. For patients who do need extractions, the approach is strategically planned to minimize bone loss and optimize the results of your implants, so your smile remains both beautiful and functional for decades.

How much will full-mouth implants cost?

Full-mouth implant reconstruction is a significant investment, but it’s important to focus on long-term value, not just upfront price. Cheaper options or “all-in-one” implant centers may seem less expensive initially, but they often involve removing more bone, extracting teeth unnecessarily, and using less durable materials — which can lead to costly complications or redo procedures down the line. With my conservative FP1 approach, you’re investing in a smile that: Preserves as much natural bone and teeth as possible Looks and functions like real teeth, not bulky dentures Reduces the likelihood of invasive revision surgery in the future I also provide transparent pricing and financing options, so you know exactly what to expect, and you can plan your treatment with confidence.
